Bay Ridge’s legendary Greenhouse Café is home to “Original Thursdays”, the finest original music showcase in South Brooklyn and an energetic open mic! We provide a warm, friendly atmosphere for artists to come and entertain a supportive audience.
Host Max Christopher curates a prime selection of musical acts for the featured sets every week from 8:30PM-10PM. Each of the three featured acts receives ~30 minutes to showcase their original songs. From 10PM to the end, our open mic allows for a wide variety talent to shine, from music and poetry to comedy and magic!
Our backline includes an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar amp, and a digital piano. We ask that all artists keep their acts light on noise and explicit language. No acoustic drum kits are allowed, but electronic kits and hand drums (bongoes, cajones, etc.) are welcome!
We love to see artists off all stripes at “Original Thursdays”! Happy entertaining!
