ALTAMONT POETRY SERIES is a happening for poets and poetry lovers commencing on the third Monday of each month at seven o'clock in the evening at North Carolina Stage Company in downtown Asheville. The event consists of a reading by the feature poet followed by an open microphone, for which readers may sign up and recite one or two short pieces. During the open portion of the event, we encourage new voices and accomplished poets alike to share what they have been working on in a space where writers have the opportunity to try out new works in front of an audience on a monthly basis. Please join us for consistent, fine poetry in a setting that is equally fine.

We encourage musicians of all types and styles and wish to provide a welcoming container for great musicians and artists to showcase their talent and to develop their craft with other likeminded musicians and craft beer enthusiasts. Our intention is to bring people together for a wonderful night of music, poetry, laughter, and great beer. Please Join Us for something beautiful.
At One World Brewing, our goal is to provide the highest quality craft ales and a comfortable space where all are welcome to relax, enjoy their time, and experience Asheville culture any night of the week. We only have one world. We must learn to share it and care for it for the sake of future generations and all life. We are honored and proud to be a part of the global craft Beer Revolution, and the thriving Asheville brewing community.
Summoning poets, storytellers, spoken word artists, musicians, singers, comics, jesters, interpretive dancers, live painters, people with something to say, and--of course--listeners, Poetry Open Mic hosted by Caleb Beissert convenes every Wednesday night at the kava bar on Eagle Street in downtown Asheville.
Please join us for what promises to be a rousing evening of free artistic enlightenment in an intimate, relaxing, yet curious setting. The microphone will open promptly at nine in the evening and continue until zero hour.
This is Asheville's most eclectic, longest running weekly open mic. It is a space where both the accomplished and the young artist can share their work with others regularly. This is a mic for serious writers and other artists who like to have fun and be part of an artistic community.
PA with available direct inputs will be provided. Please keep performances to a 10-minute maximum. May contain explicit language and nudity. Anything goes as long as it's within 10 minutes and doesn't hurt anybody. Drunk hecklers will not be tolerated.
Bring your own instrument if you wish to perform. Be sure to arrive early and sign up to ensure a spot.
No cover charge.
