The Blind Pig and MainStreet Art and Culture Slam of DeLand proudly present a great night in Spoken Word and Entertainment! The most enjoyable and diverse night of visual art to be found in Downtown DeLand! Witness poets vying for the right to represent Volusia County and DeLand at national poetry festivals! An Open Mic will take place between each round of the slam and after the slam! Poets, Raconteurs, Musicians, Actors, Flash Fiction Writers, Singers, Rappers ALL WELCOME! Sign-up for the slam will be open to the first 12 poets that get to Abbey Bar. Sign-up for the Open Mic will be ongoing. Performers who use a prerecorded musical accompaniment and need to be sure the format is compatible should email in advance.
