Event Dates: Feb. 11 - Open Mic Night featuring Poetic Assassins Mar. 25 - Open Mic Night - Women's History Month Event, "Words of Women", featuring musician Jennifer Norman April 29 - Open Mic Night Thursday Night Mic is open to McKendree students, faculty, or staff and the Lebanon community. Step up to the mic! We may also have a headlining act scheduled for the evening; a local band, singer-song writer, poet - who knows. Sign ups begin 30 minutes prior to the show in the Lair. Please check for show times. The rules: Poetry - Poets will be allowed 6 minutes to perform no more than 2 poems. If space permits, we will allow more at end of show. Musicians: Each musician will be allowed to perform 2 songs. If space permits, we will allow more at end of show. Comedy/Theater Open Stage: Comedians/Actors will be allowed 6 minutes to perform no more than 2 comedy bits/monologues. If space permits, we will allow more at end of show. Spectators: We want to provide the most supportive atmosphere possible for everyone that is performing. Please support and respect those performing by giving them your undivided attention. Besides, you'd want the same if you were performing! We Ask: 1.That you do not bring alcohol to campus. It is not allowed. 2.That you refrain from extreme or offensive language or behavior. This includes the use of "f" and "s" words. The decision as to what is acceptable or not is at the discretion of the Campus Activities Board/Lair staff. 3.Respect our equipment. It is expensive and disrespect will not be tolerated. If you damage the equipment, you'll be asked to pay for it. 4.Respect our venue and campus. Unruly guests will be asked to leave. 5.Have fun!

The first Thursday Night Mic is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 3 at 8:30pm in the Lair. Sign-ups will begin at 8pm. No featured performer for this event.

September 17 will celebrate Hispanic Heritage month. Our featured performer is Javier Mendoza. Open mic sign up at 7pm, Show starts at 7:30pm, Javier plays at 8:30pm. Featured performer for October 1 is singer/songwriter Jared Campbell. Open mic sign up at 7pm, Show starts at 7:30pm, Jared plays at 8:30pm.
