Xela was totally cool and the place was very supportive of me coming out from out of town. I performed some politically-incorrect comedy music and I still felt welcome in this very hip, non-stuffy place for all ages. Great fun. I'll definitely be coming back.
Rick Charming (4/2006): I play here a lot. Friendly place, Xela is a great host. Mostly the crowd continues its coversations around their coffee klaches instead of paying attention. Those who do pay attention, however, you can tell are digging it. Very worth going to and playing at. Sometimes it fills early so be advised. Very young crowd.

Xe La (5/2004): This might be the coziest Open Mic ever! Its always smoke-free and you can drink good tea while Alan Madj or Xela play some sweet tunes - cmon out!
