I was not there on open mic night, but played there on another night as a guest artist. Very cool place. I like the Muddy Cup alot better than Starbucks… good atmosphere.
Dixon (8/2008): WOW, Great response by Teresa! At least she came by. I don't recall seeing any porn though. By the way, my 14 year old daughter comes with me on Mondays and other participants bring their kids. If you want to do comedy, come on down.
Freddy Johnson (11/2007): Open format, open mic, hip-hop (bring your tracks on CD, MP3, flash), acoustic, poetry, live jam, prose. Join in, do nothing if you want.
Freddy Johnson (10/2007): Not unless you enjoy hearing the blenders grind into each blade for blade & enjoy watching the blonde manager outside roaming her hot little hands over her boyfriends butt and her lips at crotch-level, this place goes no-where. In fact after 6 months of poetry readings, the poets gave up. It's not worth the coffee they sell. Nor the $4.00 cornbread muffin. The muffin prices seem to change weekly; depending on who works that day/night. If the owners could set up some kind of partition to separate the porn-show from the open mic to the noise & distracting goonies who enter, else it's not worth the trip.
