I've traveled all over the US and Canada, sitting in on open mikes in most of the major cities, and this one has its challenges.

The event started late, the host's smarmy band played a couple of warmed over rock songs, and then the poor singer-songwriters were subjected to a noisy back-room bar crowd.

It has potential, but lacks the intimacy and attention that typify a truly successful open mike.

Great open mike. Tons of local musicians. Very friendly folks. Highly recommend.
