Lou Susi (5/2008): OutLoud Open Mike Coffee House at the Beebe meets the third Wednesday of every month except December and August. Features Poetry, Prose, Music (acoustic, eclectic). Receptive, respectful creative environment. February theme is Sense of Place -- Near, Far, Within, explored by a collection of written word and musical artists. Open Mike on any topic within reason. Performances / readings from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. No cover; donations accepted for charity. Starbucks of Melrose graciously provides coffee and tea. In the Beebe Estate's art exhibit space, 235 West Foster, Melrose. Parking available on grounds. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Melrose Cultural Council, a local agency that is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a State agency.
